ENABLEX Side Effects
As with all prescription medicines, you may experience some side effects. The most frequently reported side effects of ENABLEX (darifenacin) were dry mouth, constipation, indigestion, and abdominal pain. The majority of ENABLEX side effects experienced when taking ENABLEX were mild or moderate, and most occurred during the first 2 weeks of treatment.
Like all Overactive Bladder medications, ENABLEX may cause other, less common side effects, because it belongs to a class of medications called These may include:
- Blurred vision. Use caution while driving or doing dangerous activities until you know how ENABLEX affects you.
- Heat prostration. Heat prostration (due to decreased sweating) can occur when drugs such as ENABLEX are used in a hot environment.
Certain medical conditions can increase your risk of rare side effects. You should talk to your healthcare professional about all your medical history to be aware of any of these risks.
Who Should Not Take ENABLEX
Do not take ENABLEX if you:
- Have trouble emptying your bladder (also called "urinary retention")
- Have delayed or slow emptying of your stomach (also called "gastric retention")
- Have an eye problem called "uncontrolled narrow-angle glaucoma"
- Are allergic to ENABLEX or to any of its ingredients. A list of ingredients is included in the product's Prescribing Information, which you can read here
