When you have Overactive Bladder (OAB), you may experience:
- a pressing need to urinate. It can happen even when you don't really need to go. The urge can be so sudden and so strong that you have to run to the bathroom.
- when you can't reach the bathroom in time and you leak or have an accident.
- having to urinate more than about 8 times a day.
- an urge to urinate that wakes you up at night (ENABLEX is not indicated for nocturia).
What about leaks or accidents
when I laugh or sneeze?
Another condition, called , may cause people to have leaks or accidents when laughing, sneezing, coughing, or lifting something heavy. Stress incontinence can result when the muscles that hold the bladder closed aren't able to squeeze hard enough. Stress incontinence and Overactive Bladder are different conditions, but a person can have both. Each condition is treated differently. A doctor can help determine which treatment is best. ENABLEX is not indicated for stress incontinence.
Keeping a Bladder Diary
If you're having problems with bladder control, you may want to start keeping a bladder diary. A bladder diary can help you and your doctor look for patterns and see how you're responding to your Overactive Bladder treatment. Print your completed diary to bring to your doctor visit.
